Tony Hewitt is well known on the professional photography circuits around the world. He brings to the judging panel a special balance of portraiture and art. In his time as a professional photographer, he has shot nearly 1000 weddings and over 6000 portraits, so his skills in portraiture are established.

What broadens his expertise as a judge is his background. In 2021 he won 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in the Landscape and Travel category of WPPI International.

He was also the 2013 AIPP Australian Professional Photographer of the Year, as well as the 2013 AIPP Australian Landscape Photographer of the Year. He has been involved in photography for the past 20 years, has earned the Grand Master of Photography status with the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, and has also earned a Fellowship from the New Zealand Institute of Professional Photography, one of only a few Australians to have done so.

He is a past the chairman of the AIPP Australian Professional Photography Awards.
